The caller tune is a feature on most landline telephones that plays a recorded message when the telephone rings. It is not possible to block this message, but there are steps you can take to reduce the number of times you get it.

The coronavirus pandemic was the deadliest human-to-human virus epidemic in decades. Even with vaccinations accessible worldwide, the whole globe is still finding out how to get back on its feet. The government is also launching a number of efforts to encourage individuals to follow the health safety recommendations in order to stay safe. In our nation, telephone companies have begun to play the “Coronavirus awareness” dialer tone to remind people to take measures in public areas. When you phone someone, you’ve probably heard this dialer tone as well. The coronavirus caller song is also being played by operators in Amitabh Bachchan’s voice.

This caller song has been playing on our phones for months, and many people are looking for a way to turn it off. While phoning anybody, this caller song irritates us. Before your call is connected, you must listen to the whole caller song.

This annoys you even more when you need to speak to someone immediately and are forced to listen to the caller tune even if you don’t want to. We can confidently state that you, too, must have attempted to delete or stop it. So, how can you turn it off indefinitely?

Users of Airtel and Vodafone:

Users of Airtel and Vodafone must contact a specific number to request deletion of the coronavirus caller tune. Follow the instructions below if you’re using one of the two:

  • You must dial *646*224# on your phone if you are an Airtel customer. You must hit “1” on your keypad after dialing this number to confirm a cancellation request.
  • If you’re a Vodafone customer, you’ll need to send a text message to cancel your service. You must text the word “CANCT” to the number 144 using your SMS app. Following that, you will get confirmation of a coronavirus caller tune cancellation.

Users of Jio and BSNL should be aware of the following:

  • If you have a JioSIM card, all you have to do is text the word “STOP” to 155223 from your message box. Once the request has been completed, the coronavirus caller song will be turned off.
  • The necessary number for BSNL customers is 56700 or 5699. To cancel the caller tune, enter “UNSUB” into your message box and send it to any of the numbers listed above.

Ways to get rid of it right away

The technique described above is a long-term option for getting rid of Coronavirus caller tune on various operators.

However, there is a workaround that will let you to bypass the coronavirus caller tune and connect to the call directly.

  • Simply click the “#” button as soon as you hear the Coronavirus caller song after dialing any number and making a call. You may skip the caller song by pressing any random button except “*.” As previously said, this is a temporary remedy that may or may not work the next time you call.
  • Another option for resolving this problem is to terminate the connection as soon as you hear this song and then redial. You won’t hear this caller song if you redial.
